The new project.

(Listening to - Meat Loaf - Did I Say That)

The Super Secret Project is officially trunked. Ah well, these things happen, never mind etc. etc.

So, onto the new project!

As of 3am last night, and thanks to some help from Rhaina, I've decided upon my next novel. First, a little info on how I came to choose this as my next (indulge me, k?):

Stuck for what to do next, I mentioned my indecision to someone who suggested downloading a bunch of images off Google Images and letting them paint a scene. Knowing that I wanted to do a fantasy, I searched for "fantasy" and downloaded the first 20 or so (skipping the hardcore pornography... for once).

It worked! I had a series of fantasy landscapes, which made me think of multiple planes of existence, as well as sundry images that sparked thoughts regarding plot. This in turn reminded me of a character I had created for my novel, Solus, but never used. This character is capable of shifting from one plane of reality to another as easily as breathing. Another discussion with someone brought about some interesting ideas for plot.

A little more brainstorming later, and my mind is set. My next novel, entitled Plane Walker for now, will be a reality jumping fantasy revolving around a dying man and his attempts to [censored!][censored!][censored!][censored!].

What? I'm hardly gonna spoil it for ya. You wouldn't buy it when it came out, then. ;-)

That's a great way to come up with new ideas. I'm a visual person so I don't know why I hadn't thought of that myself....

Yay for shiny new idea!
